ADEME’s budget totalled €343 million for 2007. This translates into €83 million for operating funds and €260million toward delegated programme authorizations for intervention funds; the latter budget is distributed among the agency’s main areas of involvement :

• A total of €72 million was used to fund waste management and polluted soil and site projects.
• The agency allocated €152 million to energy management and combating climate change.
• The budget for cross-sectoral and international activities totalled €36 million.

Out of €260 million, the funds allocated to research totalled €49 million.
